Jake's Inaugural BATTLE OF THE BHUT: A Blazin' Success!

Congratulations to Joe Brown and Gabriel Facini on a tied win after eating a whopping 24 of Jake’s XXX wings in 5 minutes.  The men say it was worth the pain to be crowned victorious (and earn a bunch of cool prizes, of course)! 

Jake’s was proud to contribute proceeds from the day to the Chicago Fire Fighters Widows and Orphans Fund.  Jake’s XXX wings also earned the title of official wing of the Chicago Firefighters Union!

Jake's Wings Voted Chicago's Best!

Jake’s is proud to announce three incredible wins from WingFest 2010, which took place on Sunday, February 28. Jake’s earned the top honors of Best in Show amongst all of the wings included in the contest, First Place in the “Hot” category for the signature XXX Wings and Second Place in the “Exotic” category for the Poncho’s Wings.

WingFest 2010 marked the 11th year of this annual event which featured 24 of the city’s best chicken wing restaurants in a competition to determine the best wings in Chicagoland. Other categories included were Mild and BBQ and all sectors were judged by Chicago celebrities and patrons using a blind taste test system.
