Are you ready for a throwdown?! Jake Melnick's entered Chicago's annual Wingfest this February! Again this year Jake's is taking on the best of the best at wingfest, they have held the title of "King of the Wing" since 2010. Winning with favorites such as Firecracker, Poncho's, and Jake's signature XXX wings made with the Bhut Jolokia pepper, hottest in the world.
Jake’s took home three big wins from Chicago's Wingfest last year, on Sunday, February 27th, 2011. The big honors included First Place in the “Spicy” category for their Firecracker Wings made with a sweet chili sriracha sauce and First Place in the “Exotic” category for the Poncho's Wings which are marinated in garlic and cayenne pepper then grilled over a wood stove. To top it off, Poncho's Wings took home the honor of “Best of Fest” for the entire event!

This year will be the 13th annual Chicago Wingfest. Jake’s has participated the past three years and is looking forward to the 2012 competition. Taking place at the Bailey Auditorium from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 26th, guests of WingFest enjoy four categories, including Mild, Hot, BBQ and Exotic, all of which are judged by Chicago celebrities and patrons using a blind taste test system.
